چکیده

In this paper we address the problem of identifying what local properties the sub-components of a system have to satisfy in order to guarantee a (security) property on the behaviour of the whole system. We associate each action with a value. Hence, we end up with quantitative properties on them, which are specified through a modal logic equipped with a parametric algebraic structure (i.e., a c-semiring). The aim is to have a value related to the satisfaction of a formula. Starting from the behaviour of a general distributed system (or context), we propose a formal approach to decompose a global quantitative property into the local quantitative properties to be satisfied by its sub-contexts.

An Optimal Approach to Local and Global Text Coherence Evaluation Combining Entity-based, Graph-based and Entropy-based Approaches

Text coherence evaluation becomes a vital and lovely task in Natural Language Processing subfields, such as text summarization, question answering, text generation and machine translation. Existing methods like entity-based and graph-based models are engaging with nouns and noun phrases change role in sequential sentences within short part of a text. They even have limitations in global coheren...

Time/Utility Function Decomposition in Soft Real-Time Distributed Systems

We consider RealTime CORBA 2.0 (Dynamic Scheduling) distributable threads, whose time constraints are specified using time/utility functions (TUFs), operating in legacy environments. In legacy environments, system node resources—both physical (processor, disk, I/O, etc.) and logical (locks, etc.)—are shared among timecritical distributable threads and local applications that may or may not be...

SUPER- AND SUB-ADDITIVE ENVELOPES OF AGGREGATION FUNCTIONS: INTERPLAY BETWEEN LOCAL AND GLOBAL PROPERTIES, AND APPROXIMATION

Super- and sub-additive transformations of aggregation functions have been recently introduced by Greco, Mesiar, Rindone and v{S}ipeky [The superadditive and the subadditive transformations of integrals and aggregation functions, {it Fuzzy Sets and Systems} {bf 291} (2016), 40--53]. In this article we give a survey of the recent development regarding the existence of aggregation functions with ...

Lightening global types

Global session types prevent participants from waiting for never coming messages. Some interactions take place just for the purpose of informing receivers that some message will never arrive or the session is terminated. By decomposing a big global type into several light global types, one can avoid such kind of redundant interactions. Lightening global types gives us cleaner global types, whic...

Quantitative phenotyping of leaf margins in three dimensions, demonstrated on KNOTTED and TCP trangenics in Arabidopsis

The geometry of leaf margins is an important shape characteristic that distinguishes among different leaf phenotypes. Current definitions of leaf shape are qualitative and do not allow quantification of differences in shape between phenotypes. This is especially true for leaves with some non-trivial three-dimensional (3D) configurations. Here we present a novel geometrical method novel geometri...
